Drop off Information & Food Resources

This is a reminder that tomorrow, Thursday, June 11th, is the last pick up day for students at each of our schools here in Yancey County.

Student Feedback Forms for grades K-5, Report Cards for grades 9-12, and any remaining student items can be picked up between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. tomorrow. Parents may need to pay off any student debts, drop off library books, Chromebooks, and also let the faculty or staff know if your family needs assistance with summer meals.

Tomorrow is our first day for summer meal pickup from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Blue Ridge Elementary and East Yancey Middle Schools. This is a one-time-a-week pickup with a full week’s supply of meals, food items, fruits and vegetables being provided by Yancey County Schools, Healthy Yancey, Manna Food Bank, Yancey Feed-a-Child and other organizations. We appreciate the support of our community in feeding our one year to 18 year old children here in Yancey County.

Please know - you MUST be pre-registered to come and pick up these food packs. If you are not yet registered, please call your child’s school or the central office to register.
