PTO Meeting Sept 2nd at 5pm

Good evening, this is Mr. Byland with some updates for the week from East Yancey.
Welcome back! We have missed you. Monday is the first day of school. Bus routes are always extremely varied during the first few days so have your child to the bus stop early. Pick ups begin at 3pm and usually take a while on day one, so be patient with us. We will get faster.
On Thursday, we will be showing a required video from the North Carolina Center for Safer Schools. If you would prefer that your child not see this video, email or call Mr. Byland to opt out.
We will have a back to school dance/social from 3-5 after school on Friday. The cost of admission is $5 and students will have the opportunity to buy concessions.
There will be a DC Trip interest meeting on Aug 26th at 5pm for any student interested in going.
Thanks, and as always, GO PANTHERS!

There are also additional free school supplies being provided at Mountain Heritage on August 9th starting at 9am on the breezeway.

This is Mr. Byland with a message is for those attending the trip tomorrow. Drop off will start at 7:30 at Mountain Heritage at the top parking lot/main entrance. The bus will leave at 8am. Parents will have to sign the waiver and the field trip permission form before they drop their student off. Students will need to be picked up at Mountain Heritage around 6pm.
Closed toe shoes are required for land activities. Students can wear flip flops or shoes good for the water, but they will need to bring a pair of tennis shoes as well.
