Good evening, this is Mr. Byland from East Yancey with a few important announcements, The PTO is doing its annual Panther T-Shirt sale. Please consider buying one. We are going to Charleston South Carolina for our all grade levels trip this year. Your child should have brought home a permission slip that breaks down the cost and on Thursday at 5:30pm, interested parents will meet at EY to discuss the trip. Reproductive health is coming up on Oct 6th for all 7th and 8th graders. If you do not want your child to participate, turn in the form that was sent home or call the school. Sports: Volleyball is at home Monday and Wednesday. Soccer is at Mitchell on Thursday. Thanks and as always, GO PANTHERS!!

There will be a PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) meeting on Tuesday at 5pm. We would love to have as many people as we can in this fun group. 8th graders are going on a waterfall field trip; permission slips are due by Wednesday 9/23. There is a family survey from our partners at Gear Up posted on Facebook, sent via email and text, and on our school’s website. Please take a second to fill out the survey. Sports: Volleyball is at home on Monday and at Cranberry on Wednesday. The first round of the playoffs for soccer is at Avery Thursday. JV Football is at home on Thursday. Good evening, this is Mr. Byland from East Yancey with a few important announcements, If your student is enrolled in our School-Based Health Center program, they can receive their required immunizations right at school. Enrollment also gives your child access to care from our experienced nurses and Nurse Practitioner, helping them stay healthy, stay in class, and potentially save you a trip to the doctor's office. There will be a Science Night at EY on Sept 15th from 5-6pm. We will be dissecting sharks. There will also be food and translators available. 7th and 8th graders, your child brought home an opt out form for Reproductive Health. If you would prefer your child not to have this educational opportunity, simply return the form to the school or just give us a call. Sports: Soccer is at home Tuesday and Thursday.
